Trading Rules: Warren Buffet

"The two rules to investing are:
#1. Never lose money.
#2. Never forget #1."

Trading Rules: Reduce your losses!

The main point is you never want to be in the position where a stock has fallen by 25% or more. This means that a stock has to rise by 33% or more just to get you back to where it was when you bought it. Taking small losses is therefore much better than taking big losses. This table shows how unlikely it is for a stock to climb back from a 90 % loss:
You'll Never Recover!

Percent fall in share price versus Percent gain required to get you back to even:
10% versus 11%
20% versus 25%
25% versus 33%
50% versus 100%
75% versus 300%
90% versus 900%

Trading Rules: 12 ways to lose money fast on
Wall Street

Checklist for Failure
1. Accept small profits and large losses.
2. Believe everything you hear, especially tips.
3. Put your trust in board-room gossip.
4. Following the crowd.
5. If you don’t know, guess.
6. Trade on thin margins.
7. Be impatient.
8. Try to get the last 5 % gain of an upswing.
9. Hold to your opinion, right or wrong.
10. Buy into a falling knife.
11. Never stay out of the market.
12. Make cost averaging with your losses.
